new year declarations

I have declared to my family that 2010 will be THE YEAR OF FUN (thank you, Rock Band) as well as THE YEAR OF THE CITY (kicked off by a day trip to Philly)!

Let's see how some first ideas fit the bill for my DECLARATIONS!

Key

+ = for sure
- = not so much

I want to . . .

Go to Tinsel Trading Company in New York City
+ The Year of Fun + The Year of the City
So far, so good

Show the boys around Boston
+ The Year of Fun + The Year of the City
We'll save this one for warmer weather

Continue to make pretty things
+ The Year of Fun - The Year of the City
Could also be called Continue to waste matches

Transform the Girlie Office into more of a Girlie Studio
+ The Year of Fun - The Year of the City
But we'll still call it the Girlie Office

Pursue being published for something creative even if it's kind of out of my league
+ The Year of Fun - The Year of the City
This would be fun enough to count for both declarations

Add some curb appeal to our home
+ The Year of Fun - The Year of the City
I love my town and so I am very okay with this being a - for The Year of the City

Lose weight
- The Year of Fun - The Year of the City
Portion control, you say?

Thank you for staying with me on this kind of punchy post. Thank you also very much for your heartfelt and encouraging comments on my previous post. xo

From my cottage to yours, warmest wishes for a New Year filled with health, happiness, good times and fun adventures!

Wow! Is that really a picture from your girly office or a wannabe photo? It sure is super fab n' shab! Okay that sounds really corny, but it just came out when I was writing this comment "fab n' shab" LOL! Okay anyway Happy New Year to you, too and I sure hope 2010 really is the year of fun for you and for me! :)

We are going to incorporate family game nite into our routine. Okay, maybe not every nite, but even a hand of cards is something. and I am preparing one wall in the tv room for my little work area. I took down the small Christmas tree yesterday and when husband came home, he said "something is missing here, it's too open" -- I told him I am making room for my desk (which I haven't found yet) and will have shelves on both sides for all my supplies. I am making it my own. Need to get more organized and have a place to work. That's my goal! good luck with all your goals for 2010. Blessings Tammy (PS, I wondered where all the matches were going -- maybe you could make a little mouse cottage :)

Oh yes, that is one gosh darn great list!

Tinsel Trading - are we still going to try to organize some sort of blogger get-together in NYC? I'm still game - maybe in the spring?

Boston, Boston - I still haven't been back there, but I keep wanting to take Don. He's never been. By the way, you asked me when I lived there and it was from 1988 - 1993. Were you hanging out there then?

Philadelphia - from 1983-1988. Love that city!

I have the same dream of getting published...in Artful Blogging, maybe - or Somerset Life. AB sounds more realistic, since I am not quite as creative as SL profilees!

Happy New Year, my friend!

xoxo
