my kitchen on facebook

That's my kitchen re-do on the Facebook page of 100 Decorating Ideas!

I myself am not on Facebook. I recently submitted before/after photos to BHG's 100 decorating ideas under $100 magazine and was asked if they could instead use them on their Facebook page. Of course!

I don't know much about Facebook but can't imagine finding time for it because of course, I wouldn't want it to take away from my blogging time, which lately has not been easy to find. Anyway, if you're on Facebook, check it out. Sorry for the rambling: afternoon coffee?

Who knows, I may start a Facebook account after all. Are you on Facebook?

xo

How many times have I said Facebook in this post?! LOL
No more p.m. coffee for me!

Hi, Elyse,
Congratulations on being featured on facebook!! I am not a participant on facebook, but I know a lot of people who do participate. I am going to go over and take a look. I also looked at your prior post and loved the idea of the rose wreath suspended by ribbons. I would like to give that a try. Thank you so much for stopping by Bunny Cottage today. Have a good rest of the week. Vicki

Whoo! Whoo! Congratulations! I will check it out. I am FB. Husband encouraged me to do it when I was going to be away from home. It has been a great way for me to reconnect with many, many former students and old theater friends - plus family and new friends! It is fun - but I try to just check in briefly every day.

Oh fun! Congratulations! I'll have to look it up!

Yes, I facebook. I love it! I've moved so much that it's a wonderful way to stay in touch and FIND people! I don't do any quizes or play the games and such, it's more like glorified e mail for me.

Sandy Shirley said...

Yes, I'm on FB and will check out your kitchen redo! Facebook doesn't take anymore time than checking your e-mail unless you play games, which I don't.

Congratulations! Your kitchen is fabulous in person too!

Well congratulations, Elyse! No, I'm not on Facebook. Like you, I know it would take away from my blogging time and reading blogs, and I scarcely have time enough for all that anyway. The people who engage in these other social groups, I often find, end up not blogging as much. Because you can't be everywhere at one time. So I don't want to overload myself by joining!

That's neato!
Hey Elyse, think about running some kind of cottagey, craft class at the library after the holidays? We'll pay you 25 bucks and you can charge like 5 bucks a person or whatever for the class.
Facebook DOES sometimes take away from blogging time, but only if you let it. It's a nice way to stay in touch with people and it's really casual. You can comment or not comment, so I don't think it would fret you too much. It's works well for people who don't have the attention span for blogs. People comment on my facebook who never ever would visit or comment on my blog and that's okay.
I think you'll like it.

How cool! I'll run over and look! I am on facebook. I got on to look up high school friends, and have been using it to keep up with people I used to work with and even added in some blogger friends. A new study said you keep up your intelligence by keeping up with so many friends on Facebook. You can get cool updates from your favorite brands and stores. I got free Starbucks Ice Cream!
I'm off to look at your kitchen!
Hugs, Lisa
