fun finds: holiday clearance

If you are in the mood to brave the post-holiday-shopping crowd, there are some good deals to be found on seasonal items that can be used on crafts and gifts all year long. Especially if you are a fan of the bright reds and cheerful patterns that bring to mind Cath Kidston and Serena of the Farm Chicks. The baker's twine pictured above caught my eye at Crate&Barrel and was just $3.95 for a 1/2 lb. cone.

I had been keeping an eye on this ribbon from good ol' Target which was just reduced by 50% to $1.50. In the cart it went!

Also from Target, this can of 50 chipboard gift tags was too cute to pass at $2.50.

And, this ornament from Crate&Barrel which was just 98 cents. She'll have a quick stay on the Christmas tree (we generally leave it up just past New Year's) and then be packed away for next year.

So, if you're looking for some crafty bargains: have a bite to eat, wear something comfy, take a deep breath, see what's for sale and explore the possibilities . . .

You are a brave girl Elyse.....I'd rather pluck out my eyelashes one by one than face the stores after Christmas~lol! Then again, this is a crowded city and filled with some rudie Mc rudersons, probably not like that where you live! xoxo....Happy New Year!

I got some of that baker's twine at C & B before Christmas. I'd never seen it in a store before. But probably just wasn't looking for it. I'm not going out in traffic. We learned recently that, aside from the 100,000 citizens in our town, another 100,000 pass through every day. So much traffic! And the main thoroughfare is one block from my house. Love your finds! Happy New Year, Elyse!
