michaels + coupon =

Okay, so, today I was lured to Michaels by the always-coveted 50% off coupon.

Turns out that Martha stuff is 25% off so it quickly became one of those must wander through the entire store kinds of outings ...

{The cashier recognized me from being there often. Is that bad?}

I found a cute pack of unbreakable ornaments for $4.99 and thought it might be time to switch-out the hankies hung from the kitchen window from springtime ...

to something festive and shiny!

Now, I haven't pulled out any decorations from the attic yet (I know ... it's not even Thanksgiving) but couldn't resist hanging these up immediately. All I needed to do was remove the handkerchiefs and use the existing clips to hang the ornaments. Easy peasy. As time goes on, I may embellish a bit, or simply keep simple.

And a warm thank you to my bloggy pal M from tales from an oc cottage, for the perfect-pink tea kettle I won in her recent giveaway. Hot cocoa has never tasted better!

ps

Could these be any cuter?

Dear Cath Kidston, Do you ever offer 50% off?

Well, I see you have been tinkering with your windows!! Today MyHero (who hasn't a decorating bone in his body) asked me when I was putting up Christmas stuff? I said, WHAT? It's not even Thanksgiving yet (crazy man-I did NOT add that part). Maybe he wants his picture in the blog hauling boxes up from the basement..I dunno.

So, Michaels has 50% off? I will have to make the trek across town to the store. I just found out that the Hobby Lobby which is only about 3 miles from my house is moving to the far West side of town..About 15 miles and lots of traffic. I am bummed because that was our last hold-out on our side of town. It will be located between JoAnne's Fabrics and Michaels. I suppose it will create a whole lot of traffic for them.

Love MS - I didn't realize that Michaels carried her line. Off I go tomorrow. Hugs- Diana

Those ornaments in your window are sweet. What a nice little change from your beautiful hankies.

I bought one of those CK mugs for a friend, the green one! They did have them on sale here and it wasn't expensive at all. :)

Hope you are having a great day! Tammy

Love tiny Cath cups! I'm glad you reminded me about the Michael's coupon. I've been staying outta that place but I think that ends now. We are headed to the storage unit to dig out our Christmas stuff tonight. We have very warm weather right now so we figure we should take advantage. I'm just feeling excited to get in the holiday mood!
