clock = cukoo

GASP! I am going a little cukoo over this clock. Okay, maybe a lot cukoo . . .

Back story
The current issue of Romantic Homes is especially lovely. This month I find myself turning each time to pages 36 - 51 to swoon over Karon and Simon Hamilton's home in Herefordshire, England. Karon's cozy home is filled with pale blues, pops of red, polka dots and cheerful patterns. Turns out she owns a shop called Berry Red and of course I had to investigate.

Berry Red has an entire Greengate collection -- purveyors of if you are crazy for Cath Kidston - you'll go bananas over this, too eye candy (that seems to sell everywhere but the U.S. = Grrrr!). {FYI: Greengate site}

Oil cloth!

I just sent an email to Berry Red to inquire about shipping. If S&H is not too ridiculous, tinkered treasures might be funding a little splurge.

Time will tell!

Greengate is absolutely great! Since we can't buy CK in Holland, I am a big fan of Greengate which you can order in lots of dutch webshops. In fact, I think I even prefer Greengate over CK because the Greengate collection is much more diverse and changes every year. Do download the free catalogue at www.greengate.dk, it's fab! I'm sure you'll love it.

Love, Debby

Yikes!!! I fell in love with that too, Elyse! Why don't we ever get the good stuff here in the States?!

Hope it's reasonable--would be perfect for your sweet cottage!

Hope your day is wonderful, my friend!

Love Greengate too! We travel abroad each summer and I told my husband we are going to Denmark just so I can shop at Greengate. (I wish!) My Cath Kidston USA catalog arrived in the mail today, so that was a treat. Will definitely be taking advantage of their free shipping offer. I love everything in there!

I'm also a big fan of Greengate & am so sad that we can't get it here in the US. I dream of a shopping trip to the UK, in which I take home a suitcase full of Greengate & CK items!

Hi Elyse, we just can't get any good magazines over here anymore. Even during our recent trip to Qatar, I was sad to find there were no good bookstores there. I only find out about lovely new stores and items and magazine articles through blogging. Sometimes I feel like I am in Outer Mongolia (referring to tales from an oc cottage's comment). HA! Hope you were able to take the plunge and get the splurge. :) Best wishes, Tammy

I'm coming in way behind on this post, Elyse, but did you ever end up getting that Green Gate alarm clock?

I ask because I've been on the lookout for a vintage-style alarm clock and whilst perusing ebay tonight, stumbled across a clock that's *very* similar to the one in this post.

Several details (check out the feet, the alarm bells, the overall shape, etc.) make me think this clock comes from the same factory as the Green Gate clock. The face isn't quite as cute as GG's, but for less than $14, including shipping from Hong Kong, I think it'll do! :)

Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Rose-Flower-Hammer-Twin-Double-Bell-Desk-Table-Alarm-Clock-/400260750646?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d31665d36

Cheers!
