bookcase + lace

For those occasions when I don't feel like having the spines of Wii cases as my living room decor, I simply close the curtains.

All it took was 1 tension rod and 2 lace panels (which have been hemmed by Shellie since I took this photo) and voila! Rows of movies and games concealed.

Ever have one of those seasons where you keep rearranging the furniture? I have been playing with the living room a lot and just can't seem to get it right. I'll be sure to photograph and share soon!

I love this, but what I'm really noticing is the window wall hanging behind the couch. Love this!

Very pretty! I'm in the midst of trying to figure out a good way to cover my skylight in this hot weather. I'm thinking curtain rods on either end and some hemmed fabric stretched from rod to rod. Does that make sense??? Of course, I would have to work at my sewing machine and its too hot because of the skylight.

Simple. Classic. GORGEOUS!!!

I can't rearrange the furniture in the tiny house - it only really fits in it's designated spot. So I change up the little things.

Wishing you a lovely day, Elyse!

I like this idea! I have been thinking about putting some fabric curtains on the bookshelf in my daughters room/guest room.

What a great idea! I should do this in our bedroom. We have all of the dvds behind our door but a little curtain would certainly hide it all.

Yes! Lovely idea!
I already mentioned that I don't do furniture well. I think I have a spatial disorder! ♥

The curtain is a great idea! Nothing worse than the spines of dvd's or games showing. (in my loud opinion..lol)

You are so clever! Now do you have a way to hold them back so the boys don't pull them down? That would happen here so if you have any suggestions I'd love them. I may use this for my big shelf!

The best part about hanging these, is the lack of HOLES from the rods. Love the look, and also how easy it is. Have a great weekend! Sandi

Love the idea of the lace curtains hiding things! Practical and pretty at the same time. I can't stop moving things around. But usually it's smaller things.

Oh, just perfect! Congrats on your win. I just love Maureen's items. She was the person who introduced me to ribbon loop and asked me to sell it (back when she was sewing). Small world, huh?

How's the weather? We are sweltering in Stowe, VT with no air conditioning. I never thought this NY turned southern gal would pray for snow. :-)

CLAUDIA; Why don't you just put the same window darkening material we use in cars for the window? You can buy it at Wal Mart and it is not expensive. Most importantly if you think you can get to the window safely it will look nicer. Connie
