my fab four

I hope that everyone is still enjoying the holiday season. As for my own Fab Four, we are munching on cookies in between long rounds (er, sets) of playing Beatles Rock Band. The boys started playing at about 7:00 a.m. and after "one more song" we'll break for dinner.

Not only are my husband and I enjoying listening and playing to the music we loved as 'tweenage Beatlemaniacs but it's awesome to introduce favorite music to our sons in such a fun and interactive way. It is also heartwarming to see the boys singing, tapping on the drums (instead of on each other), and appreciating music. It's true family fun.

I promise more pretty posts as soon as there is some good sunlight for photos (and believe me after a swap, a giveaway win and new creations, I have some cute things up my sleeve to share).

Until then: Peace, love and rock and roll. And cookies.

Okay, just one more song . . .

Love the Beatles! They were promoting this at the Paul McCartney concert. Glad your boys are appreciating the music of the Fab Four. We don't have a Wii, so I will take your word for how much fun it is!

Sound really fun Elyse. I can see your boys now, esp Ethan, swinging that dark mop of hair all over and grooving out. Yay!

Oh my Elyse, my Grandkids got Guitar Hero Rock band and they have played it every minute possible. My oldest Granddaughter is a fastpitch softball pitcher and now has blisters on her hands from playing Guitar Hero:) Hmmmmmm wonder how long that will last. She is going to have to start wearing her batting gloves to save her "prize" hands:) Hugs from Georgia!

My son got an xbox for Christmas and we have had to pull him away from the tv for meals. Which is saying a lot since he is a teenager and typically eats every 2 hours.

Loved catching up on your posts- I'm adding you to my inspirations side bar! Have you made the elves? They are precious! I'm in the middle of trying to make ribbon flowers....any suggestions? J

Hi Sweet Pea,

Of course I remember the rose mints. I also remember the small cans of the flat fruit flavored mints that had white powder on them. I thought they were so elegant and chic in those pretty cans.

Hope you had a great Christmas.
