the third reindeer

The other day I took a short drive to Brown & Hopkins Country Store. According to the shop's website, it is the oldest country store in continuous operation in the United States. I went to pick up a copy of their new cookbook, which includes locally submitted recipes, including two of mine. I also picked up two of these mini flocked reindeer ornaments.

I hung them from the chandelier which left one spot noticeably empty. We all agreed: I needed to return to buy a third reindeer.

I think they are so sweet.

Miniature, flocked and glittered . . .

PS ~ You can order the little reindeer from Brown & Hopkins here.

I hope three reindeer will be enough to pull Santa's sleigh full of millinery flowers and all the other pretties that make me SWOON!

What sweet ornaments and they look great hanging from your light fixture. How cool to go to the oldest country store in the US. Glad to know that places like that can still exist in this day and age. Reminders of a simpler time. Blessings to you and yours, :) Tammy

Love those reindeer. I seem to be drawn to all things flocked lately. I even had a dream Friday night about flocked jingle bells. Now, I have no idea if the really exist but I sure want some!

Adorable little reindeer Elyse! You definitely needed that third one.

Isn't it fun to have recipes printed in a book? I think so. I also have recipes printed in three different Gooseberry patch cookbooks. The last one even showed a photo of the goodies. I think you can get them most anywhere in the US.

He is precious! What a sweet little ornament to someday pass down. He looks almost vintage, doesn't he? I love those little general stores...like stepping back in time. Ohhh, and I sent away for a Cath Kidston catalog when I saw it on your post. What a fun treat for the eyes! Def fun to go through over and over. Have your ordered from it? Does shipping take long?

Hugs ~ Angie
