calling all cards

Tonight I am trying to catch up on replying to comments. When I popped over to visit Sherry's blog I was so touched by her post and can't stop thinking about it.

Please follow this link to Sherry's post and read why her niece could really use some pretty mail and lots of it. I hope you will join in on this little mailing effort and help to spread the word. I put a little image on my sidebar--please feel free to use it.

Oh Elyse,
I cannot begin to tell you what this means to us. Amy hasn't been doing to well today. I spoke with my sister earlier, she said Amy has been shaking really bad, very aggitated, and wrote on her little board that she is angry. I was waiting for this to happen. The pastor was there to visit and pray with Amy last night and he told her to close her eyes and let God bring her home, she refuses to give up. She has the strongest will power that I have ever seen, and it just breaks my heart to know that we have to let her go. She so wanted to beat this cancer. I am due to go home Sept. 30th for 14 days. My plans may change. Amy is very critical and needs lots of prayers sweetie. I just thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. Amy Girl belongs to all of us. We have all grown to love her so much. Country hugs and love, Sherry

I have heart of it back at Debbie's (Amy's Mom). To hear her and Sherry about Amy really aches one's heart. It can't be helped. But they are so strong, and love just overflows in their family that you also can't help but be filled with admiration as well.

Li

Elyse, I wanted to drop by this morning, and ask you when you get a chance today, to stop by my blog. I wrote something for Amy last night that I would love to share with you. I am her voice today, and I knew you would love to read it. Thank you again for helping spread the word. Her little mail box will be so full of love, I know the mailman will be ringing their bell. Country hugs and love sweetie, Sherry

Very sweet of you to make this call Elyse! I see what I can do, I am just finishing a card for someone that I don't know either who has just diagnosed with cancer. But after that I have a few things to do, promises I made, I'll try. Hope they get at least 50! Mmm I'll just send one and don't make one, that is better at this moment. Have a lovely day!

I love your blog- hope you don't mind me following. I am picking up a card for Amy on my way home from work today. Cancer is horrible- I know God has a reason for taking our loved ones this way- it's so hard to trust his reasons. My heart and prayers are with Amy.
