'Twas the night before the first day of school when all through the house ... three out of four of us are still stirring even though tomorrow is a very big day.
I find myself quite wide-awake (yet exhausted), still reeling over receiving the October issue of Romantic Homes today and seeing that my La Jolie Jarre tutorial made it in for sure!
The art director did such a beautiful job with the layout. Tomorrow I plan to stop by my local book seller to buy every copy in stock!
The issue also features one of my favorite blogs for decor inspiration, Heather's Pretty Petals, in the we love / site seeing section. To be honest, I have really only looked at page 14 so far!
My summer has been a bit rocky and stressful at times and my mantra has been: Look to the fall ... look to the fall ...
I hope that this October issue is a little sign of the happy things a change of season can bring.

WELL, lookie here:) I just so happen to have that magazine laying right beside me on the sofa! I received it in the mail yesterday and was saving it for a special time. I guess that special time was when my friend told me PAGE 14:) I love and can't wait to read all about it! I won this magazine subscription from Laura at White Spray Paint and just adore it!

OH, Elyse! How desperately exciting! Actually, not knowing or remembering that it would be in the magazine, your page came up and the squeal of joy was in the beauty of your jar!
We, honestly, had a super rough summer, too. My mantra was, "school's not going to start - we still have time..." Over and over again I said it. Oh, well! Here we are and there they are. I think that I will just give up and let the season change. We may, yet, survive!

I am in a big panic here...I usually get my copy of the magazine early and it hasn't come yet....do you think my mailman is a Romantic Homes...or an Elyse fan??? Congratulations on another feature..pretty soon we'll see you on the contributing editor staff.
This was not the summer of my dreams either...I'm looking forward to vacation at the beach next week and then hopefully..a healthier and more pleasant September.
