GASP: Cath!

Okay, the title of this post might seem a little cryptic but some of my blogging pals may know that: 1) I use the term GASP when I am really ga-ga over something; and 2) I have been pining over some dishes from Cath Kidston since first GASPing over them. I had never GASPed over dishes before but alas, after factoring in shipping and the pounds-to-dollars conversion, the plates were a bit costly for me.

And then it arrived: the check from Romantic Homes for my recently published essay! What better way to celebrate than by treating myself to the plates. Thanks to a few sales at my Etsy shop, I added a set of mugs and postcards to the order. In just days it arrived!

Like any good blogger, I had to photograph the process!

Eeeps! Even through the bubble wrap it's pretty!

And for a little Pink Saturday silliness, I put a rose sticker on a pink tissue box from Target. Cute! Not familiar with Pink Saturday? Read all about it here. Thanks, Beverly!

Happy Pink Saturday and have a happy and safe Memorial Day!

What a glorious way to celebrate!

Congratulations.

(I've always loved those dishes as well.) And you are right, the shipping is quite a bit, and you should see how the oilcloth arrives, still on a huge bolt!

But worth it, yes?

What a perfect way to treat yourself for your recently published article! I love Cath Kidson too. Total I saw a picnic basket of hers at a local upscale gourmet shop. It was $699.00. It was filled with her beautiful dishes,etc...just lovely.

Oh Elyse!

I am so jealous! Mine have not arrived yet. I decided to order my plates (the same ones, we must have VERY similar tastes) in installments so the first installment is on the way. I went to the maximum for the first level shipping price!

Hey! Enjoy them this Memorial Day weekend!

Lovely lovely!

You asked about the wooden chairs...personally, if they don't have a lot of spindly parts I would brush paint. If there are lots of "dowls" or "spindles" spray paint would be easier...just use a brush to "finish" spots so they don't drip.

And thanks for thinking of my boys...their appointment went well. :-)

Wow - how exciting! I love them and would have bought them too. Looks like they match your kitchen fabulously too! :) Yay!
I bought four blue/white plates at a thrift shop last summer and it sounds silly, but even cat food looks good on them. I use them all the time and I feel so special! :)

How nice of you to offer me sending Romantic Homes. I would love to read your essay in the magazine, but there is a 'BuT"; the other day someone send me a magazine from the States and I had to pay 12 dollars shipping costs. Add the magazine to these costs and we are talking about 17 dollars :-(
Anyhow I loved your offer! Have a great day!
