We Have a Winner!

Despite the furrowed brow on my friend the troll's face, I am very happy to announce the winner of my give-away. Congratulations to Becky at Sweet Cottage Dreams! I will be sending a pretty organized set to her. Becky's entry was chosen using random.org -- another brilliant idea from Cynthia!

I want to send a warm and sincere thank you to everyone who participated. I was overwhelmed by the response -- a record number of comments for my little blog! I appreciated the advice and tips about selling on Etsy, and your methods of keeping organized.

I especially enjoyed learning about everyone's favorite color combinations. My own favorites? I love tone-on-tone (think of the fairies' outfits in Disney's Sleeping Beauty) and combinations like periwinkle and lavender. I also love pale and faded pinks and greens and grays and blues -- always with a pop of color. A wonderful book showcasing this is Country Living Country Color Combinations. I picked it up at HomeGoods for $4.99 and always find it inspiring! (It is available at Amazon and the book photo links to it if anyone is interested.)

Again, thank you all so very much! How blessed I feel to be surrounded with such warm, encouraging, fun and creative women. Happiest New Year to all!

Oh Darn :) Im such a looser :)

Congrats to the winner though!

I spent the weekend, blackboard paint in hand :) I was going to do a cabinet door, but the cabinets were either too high for me ( Im 5'3 ) or making one into a blackboard proved to be to "disruptive" to my line of cabinetry :) so I decided to do one in a frame and hang it instead! I'll probably post it this week, it was pretty darn easy. Next thing I know I'll be making them for every room :) I also tried my hand at some decoupaging again, you are going to have to give me some lessons, lol, mine gets to many wrinkles !! argh, but the glass I put on top ( I made a tray ) helps hide em :)

Hope you had a great New Years kiddo! Happy 2009!

Hugs, Cynthia

Hey there Ms. Elyse! I'm so happy that you got the stamp set. Sadly, I did not but seeing as how this is the 2nd year I asked for and didn't receive it, I think I will treat myself! Happy stamping! Jen

Hey Elyse,
Thanks for the comment on my blog. Those magnets would stick wonderfully to your little tin pencil holders! Also they have even smaller sizes that are just as strong.
Fun contest.
Congrats to the winner.

Have you ever strolled into a blog and everything looked so familiar and welcoming. I adore your charming blog, we have so many tastes in common. I guess that's what makes visiting so enjoyable. Meeting kindred spirits.
I look forward to returning.

Sweet wishes,
Sara
