Enter My Give-away!

I have exciting news to share. Thanks to the warm encouragement of so many of my blogging pals (especially Cynthia of Cynthia's Cottage Design, I have opened a shop on Etsy. It's called tinkeredtreasures. (My friend the troll is there, too.) To celebrate this venture I am having a "grand opening" give-away and hope you will enter. The prize is one of my pretty organized sets (pictured). The set includes a decorated tin can, three painted and decoupaged clothespins, and one painted pencil. The cans are handy for pencils, scissors, spare change, even small plants or flowers; the clothespins are nice for papers, receipts and small bags.

To enter the give-away simply leave a comment about 1 of the 3 questions:
- Any advice about my Etsy shop (pricing -- too high or too low?)?
- What is your favorite color combination?
- What do you do to keep pretty organized?
A winner will be drawn at random this Saturday, Jan 3

What a cute giveaway! Love your shop, and i think the prices are very reasonable. My favorite color combination is probably pinks and greens. Well, in my studio/playroom, whatever holds something works fine! I've got buttons in an old dishwasher detergetnt tab box, polyfill in an oatmeal box (I cut a hole in the lid so I can pull out just what I need, assrted tins and baskets. I have 4 baskets on top of my computer desk's shelf - 1 for fabric scraps, 1 for larger pieces of fabric, 1 for upcoming projects, and 1 for complete projects. They were $1 at Dollar Tree. Once again, love your shop, and good luck with it! Becky G.

Well, Elyse - I finally signed up with google so I can...
1. leave you messages on your blog
2. enter the drawing

I think your prices seem fine.
color schemes - I do like green, blue, creamy yellow.

Lately, like green, purple, creamy yellow - for houses and clothes!

I like tho how you seem to pop things w/ red - pink and in the girlie office ...orange!

Organizing: I use empty detergent caps to collect change & buttons from the washing machine.

I love clothespins - they hold coupons for grocery shopping, and close chip bags.

My latest is using a ziploc bag for store coupons - they make finding them for shopping easy - either in a pocketbook or since I don't carry one - in my car!!

good luck w/ etsy!

Hi sweetie!

Ohhhh I am so Happy for you , Congratulations! now I have a place to go when I want to buy more too! after I recover from Christmas ( lol ) I will be at your Etsy store buying my heart out :)!

I adore everything you make and create! Every day when I walk in my kitchen I think of you. And each friend that see's the shutters you gave me , lets out a *GASP*. They are the best things I've added to my Cottage Kitchen!

Hmmm, first , Enter me in your giveaway :) I love those cans, and now I'd have 2 :) perfect to hold flowers on my new kitchen table ( also inspired by you )! and second, my 2 favorite colors would have to be red and baby blue :) I am so bad about price suggestions, but I would think the signs and shutters might be a little low in price. But I guess it depends on how much time they'd take etc... I know if it was me, they would take all day, lol... at least. But that's a hard one to figure.

Thanks so much always for your sweet comments and friendship Elyse, you truly are a talented and lovely person! Im so happy we met on blogger! You always inspire me too! Wishing you a great New Year and lots of luck on Etsy! I will hit your store soon!!!

xox, Cynthia

Your blog is really cute and full of inspiration. My favorite color combos are the cottage colors as I call them, yellow, blue, pink and light green. I use a lot of plastic bins and containers for storage and organization. That is one of my goals for the year.

Please enter me in your give-away. I think your prices are just fine. I am getting into pinks, but all of your colors are just right. I do have trouble in the organization department! Right now I am using brown corrogated boxes for holding things!

Hi Elyse! I love your Etsy goodies!! I think your prices are just great ~ mostly I try to group my supplies in boxes or containers and keep them in the same spot all of the time. That way when I need them I can go right to where they are. Plus...put things back! That's always a good thing...Happy New Year! xxoo, Dawn

Love your Etsy shop! My suggestion is to try for more natural lighting in your photos...maybe take them in the morning light. I love periwinkle and a soft pink color combination. As far as organizational advice, whew!, that's a hard one. But I do try to follow the motto: "A place for everything, and everything in it's place." By that I mean, if you have a specific place for things, they are less likely to be lost. Good luck on your new venture...

dynativYour website is beautiful! I have enjoyed looking at all of your wonderful pictures. I even have my husband saving vegetable cans for me so I can try to re-create one of your pretty, painted containers.
I would like to say that my favorite color combination is pink and green.
Also, I am going to make the hanging mittens you wrote about for a craft project with my second grade class when school starts back in a few days.
Thank you for sharing your many talents.

Sincerely,
Holly

Hi Elyse! I'm a first time visitor. Color combo, all shades of white, creams, sand, etc. I'm sorry, haven't been to your shop yet because I wanted to send you a comment first. Seems everyone thinks your prices are fair. Organizational tips, many. Only problem is getting everyone in my family to use them!! Good luck with your shop which I am going to visit now:D

I'm not trying to cheat and get two entries, I just realized I probably am not in the running for your cool treats as I didn't answer any of your questions. I don't follow rules well. I think your prices are fine. Great shop. I go through mail everyday and recycle to stay organized and try not to let piles accumulate anywhere.
Also make lots of lists.
Little notebooks are the key.
Lots of them!
Color combo? Not sure. I am always drawn to lime green and pink.
PS thanks for the super sweet comment on my blog. Made my day.

I guess anything with pink!

I think your prices are just fine, maybe even lower than some would charge, but definitely fair. Anyone who does not think so should feel free to buy the paper, glue, embellishments and paint and do all that detailed painstaking work themselves!

I love pale pinks and blues and greens, and the florals too. Very sweet and feminine. The little matchbox treasure drawers are great! It would be great to buy up a few sets to have on hand for special gifts.
