The Playroom Tree

Ours is a Cape Cod-style house so in addition to having two bedrooms upstairs we have two bedrooms on the main level. One bedroom is used as the Girlie Office; the other is a playroom for my two boys. I love the playroom. To me it embodies so many dreams of mine that have come true: being happily married, having children, owning a home. I love that there is this space in our home where the kids can play and make a mess and (theoretically) leave it behind until the next day. The playroom is packed with toys and games and books and craft supplies. As you can see, there is even a little tree. This year my son Jonah decided it should be decorated only in blue. Some ornaments were swiped from our living room tree and others are items from around the playroom, like a blue pencil sharpener, a blue Post-it note pad, even a ball of blue painter's tape! Someday when the playroom is very neat, I will take more photos to post!

Well your son did a great job with their tree (; I love that he decided on the all blue theme. I always wonder if the women that my boys marry someday will appreciate the decorating bug that I have passed down to them,LOL!! They better hope that they marry someone who doesn't have their own dec style or there will be trouble, LOL. Merry Christmas.

Awwww, that is so cute! and what a pretty little tree too!

I would love to have a separate play room for the kids, lol, although mine are all teenagers, but they would love a pool table and a flat screen etc and a room to "hang out" in :) my mother in law is living with us and the "play room" downstairs is hers :) lol...

Thats such a cute room Elyse!, I bet your son loves the room too!

I love your playroom tree. What a festive touch. Playrooms are so golden, but mine tends to stay very messy. No post of mine will be shown this holiday season. LOL... The store space is going well. It is a lot of work, but tons of fun.
