Gifts

When my youngest son began kindergarten this year, I knew that suddenly some snippets of free time would become available to me. Time to myself during daylight hours; time I consider a gift. I carefully avoid using this “gift” to clean my house or run tedious errands. This is time to paint and sand, meet friends for treats, wander around Michaels; to discover the world of blogging! Blogging is new to me. I enjoy searching thoughts for information that is “blog-worthy” to post, taking photos, and clicking link upon link to find new blogs. My experience with fellow bloggers (bloggettes?) has been wonderful. Everyone is so sweet, encouraging, supportive and generous.
This post is to say thank you to anyone who has visited my site or is just finding it for the first time today.
In the midst of a sometimes harried or hectic day, how restorative it can be to find a new comment. I recently won a contest at the Cynthia’s Cottage Design blog. In addition to the lovely things that will arrive any day (pictured above), I am making a new friend. What a gift that is!

Hi Elyse,

awww, that is so sweet! Thanks so much! I consider all my bloggettes ( lol, I like that word you made up ) to be like Sisters of my Creative side and Im so glad you have become one now too!

and I couldnt have said it better myself, its so much nicer to flip through and visit such creativity during the day then it is to worry about all the chores I have....I try and carve a creative hour or two every day, it makes me stronger for all the other things :)!

Im so glad your here, it will be so exciting to see your talents and posts and share stories too!

~hugs~ , Cynthia

ps: Im like a little kid at xmas, waiting for those gorgeous shutters to arrive :)

There's nothing like good friends and good treats! There's no better way to spend 2 hours, I say.

Oooookaaaay, I think I'm in love with ya, sweet chick!!! Squeeeeeeeeal....! Thanks for dropping over to view my nuttiness! I think we're kindred spirits..... one from Rhode Island and another from California transplanted into the "wilds" of Idaho!! Kindred spirits for sure when I view your "stuff/fluff" and then see a Mac(!) sittin' on yer table, honey!!! You're stealing my heart away. I also save jars to embellish just for "eye candy" in my kitchen. Of course, I'm old enough to be your motherrRRRRR or grandmotherrrrRRR!!! LOL but you've just made a new friend and I'm adding you to my Google Reader. Just keep the ideas coming cuz I need them for my new pink office/painting room and the new pink sewing/craft room also. Nice to meet you, lovely chick.

:-) <---------ME grinning from ear to ear.......

Smooches,
Connie
