spring morn
It's no wonder that the things I tinker blend so well with my home decor: I use leftover interior paint as the base for most projects.
Recently while trolling through the basement, I discovered a bit of Spring Morn that was used to paint the dining room/kitchen.
I gathered some random items just ready to be painted, including this small $1. birdhouse, and gave each treasure-to-be a quick coat or two.
Snipped at some paper while supervising homework . . .
did a little decoupage . . .
even sprinkled some glitter.
The moral of this tale: A little leftover paint can go a long way!

I have to tell you- I start smiling to myself the moment I see another post from you...because I know that something here will tickle my fancy. I still LOVE my little clothespins you sent me. They are in the room the little girls use when they visit. I think I will use them in the playhosue to hold notes come Spring. Love all that you do~ xxoo Diana

Love the look of the sun streaming through your room Elyse!! Have you gotten rid of your snow yet? It is snowing here as we speak and I think our Chat and Coffee ministry time may have to be canceled in the morning as we are really supposed to get dumped on!
Oh I do love looking at your pretties and the picture of you cutting out the decal- gosh what precision cutting!

Simple little projects are the best when you don't have the time to get more involved. You always make everything sound so easy and look so pretty! Best wishes, Tammy

That birdhouse is very cute! :-)
Very nice. Elyse, I just had to tell you that I was in Barnes & Noble the other day with my youngest girlie girl. We were getting a hot cocoa, and as they were making it I turned around and....gasp! They were selling Cath Kidston coffee mugs! My sweet little 5 year old happily said to me. "Mamma you should get one their lovely." Spoken like a true lil' girlie girl. So yes I got one (and not at a bad price of $7.99). I am also waiting for wallpaper samples from Cath Kidston to do over my youngests room. Just wanted to share. Have a wonderful day! :)
