sweet 'n cheap summer treats

When you have boys to keep busy, finding me-time can be catch-as-catch can, that's why little treats for oneself peppered throughout the summer are as important as ever (for me, anyway). Here are a few recent indulgences, each costing $10 or less (way less).

Beach Cottage sign from Cindy's shop, Cute Pink Stuff

Garden marker from Vintage Garden

Glitter nail polish from Target

Pretty baking cups from Bake It Pretty

{not just for baking ...}

Side-swap gift from Jeanne

Supermarket bunches of flowers

Pretty postage

Well, I hear some doors slamming. Time to get those boys busy again!

Oh, Elyse! What beautiful treasures you've found! Love them all---maybe especially those sweet baking cups--going to have to get some of those!

I've been surrounded by 21 nieces and nephews (not to mention my own 3 daughters) along with brothers, sisters & parents for the last 2 weeks--got one more to go--so I understand how you're feeling right now! Not much alone time...but it's wonderful, isn't it?!

Hope your Fourth was fabulous!

I love those pretty postage stamps. I'll have to stop by our village post office.

Hope your day is as lovely as you are,

Thanks for featuring my beach cottage sign, Elyse! All your self-indulgences are so cute and I know what you mean about keeping the kids busy for the summer. As I type this really fast, I have 3 six year olds upstairs having a play date while my teen daughter gives piano lessons downstairs. Keeping the young, active ones "quiet" for the next 2 hours will be quite a feat! Let me know if you want one of my latest Beach Bungalow tea towels!!!

You find the sweetest things! I really must do more computer shopping sometime- hardly ever do any shopping at all- keeps my checkbook happy!

Getting ready for a camp this next week and just came back from an unexpected trip to TX for my hubby's aunt's funeral so we have been busy traveling though not vacation time- would love to see a beach or something this summer instead of miles and miles of asphalt!

What a wonderfully pretty and refreshing post! Ahhhhh! I think of you and your boys - and my boys - peace reigns for the most part - except for me - I'm the uptight one because of the heat - my boys are the sweeties who are encouraging me. Don't these moments just give us hope, though! =] Again, just simply - I LOVE this post!

LOVE that photo of the flowers in the jar. it's funny, i have some great vases, old milk glass ones, beautiful antique ones, but lately, every time i have flowers in the house i grab an old blue jar, or one of my small vintage milk jars. :)

PS, just added a glitter top coat to my toes yesterday. :)

I love the girly things you have found lately. I got those postage stamps the other day, but it is too bad that they all went on bills.
Thank you for the sweet comment you left about my garden.
