bright idea

I really like Serena Thompson's Farm Chicks style. To me, it's very Cath Kidston meets down-home Americana. Lots of pretty pale shades of blue and green punctuated with pops of cherry red and cheerful prints. (If I sound like I've been writing a lot, I have!)

Ever since seeing Serena's colorful kitchen in Where Women Cook (Dec/Jan/Feb 2011) I have been thinking about storing cupcake liners in a jar. So simple. Well, the other day at Target, I finally purchased a jar.

In went the cupcake liners. (I might paint the lid?)

Ready for cupcake and muffin baking!

My apologies for being absent from blogging. I miss being inspired by everyone and hope to make a big evening of visiting soon! As mentioned earlier in this post, I am busy writing these days, which is a dream come true!

Happy October!

They do look pretty in a jar. I'm afraid if mine were out in the open-it would just make me crave cupcakes. Which I don't need. Maybe I could just consider them artwork?

What a cute idea for the cupcake liners Elyse!!

I am having issues with publishing posts on my blog for some reason. My mom has been here for a week so haven't had much time for posting anyways but do hope I can figure out what is the matter!

At least I can still read my favorite blogs!

I did the same thing after seeing that issue! I had the perfect jar already, so it was easy! It's so fun to see all the colorful options and also to change them up for the seasons and holidays. I also enjoy Serena's Farm Chicks style.

Elyse,
I had seen this post a while ago, but forgot to tell you how much I love this idea. My husband got me a new fancy/techy phone some time ago, and I have an app for Google Reader. It is so convenient, but I've been getting so careless about leaving a comment on my favorite posts.
I was thinking about your post yesterday when I picked up the cutest strawberry liners... I just have to buy a jar soon!
I hope all is well, and I look forward to your posts in the coming year. :)
