Did you ever make paper cootie catchers as a child?
Perhaps you called them fortune tellers?
We sort of have one too many projects going on around here. I needed a little play time.

I found myself folding a pretty paper into a fortune teller, and then decided to make the answers relate to blogging.
Like any good blogger, I was compelled to take photos . . .
to share with others I knew could appreciate playing with paper.
For this I feel very fortunate.

ReplyDeleteAbout 2 months ago..we had this discussion on facebook..between old high school friends..One of the girls had saved a ton of those from school and dug them out of her attic..they were quite hilarious!!

ReplyDeleteYes I do remember making them. I loved them as a kid. I think they would be a fun thing to have at a tea party or luncheon as a converstation starter. Maybe make them into questions that everyone can answer.

ReplyDeleteI never did one as a kid, and remember when I was really small, that I thought they really told fortunes. I guess I never figured out how to make one when I was bigger so I didn't spoil the magic.

Elyse, I've made countless cootie catchers. I can't remember any other names at the moment, but with each generation of cousins, babysitting, nieces, etc. I've passed on the tradition. What fun to see it all floofed up with pretty paper and print! Maybe I need to make some more.
