This little red chair is from Ikea. We purchased 4 of them when the boys were toddlers. Back then the chairs were the perfect size to instantly turn an end table into a dining set just the right scale for a playdate snack. With my boys a bit older and the other three chairs broken and discarded, this lone chair ended up in the basement. Time for a rescue.
I wasn't quite sure if this 2 ounce sample could get the job done.
But it did. {Color: lily lavendar}
The little chair might find a place upstairs
in the pale blue bathroom.
Okay, deep breath. Time to get back to the ol' Janome. Wish me luck!

Isn't it great that this way you can keep some of the todlers' furniture?! I love these kind of little chairs as I am not that tall, they come in handy when you're trying to reach something. Love the color and the styling too! And now good luck with sewing! Do you still keep the manual at hand to see whether the thread is put right in the machine, I think I told you before, I do, as my sewing didn't went well because of small failures like that. I have always done the sanding and priming, and all of that work, but one day, visiting a shop in my town the owner was out painting a dresser in the yard and she hadn't sanded or primed. Adorable chair! You are soooo clever. Never thought of using a sample of paint for a small project like your chair. Both money saving and handy not having paint left over or wasted. I bought a new machine, inexpensive Singer, and haven't sewn a stitch. I haven't sewn since high school, and we won't go into how long that's been! I need to make chair covers too, so please be my inspiration. I think we can figure it out, don't you? ♥
