seeing spots

Once I became a Cath Kidston enthusiast, I suppose it was only a matter of time before polka dots began to spread.

Even though the new Cath Kidston magazine is sprinkled with "dotty" designs (as shown directly above), my recent purchases have been from local spots ...

like this cake stand from HomeGoods, the oven mitts shown at the tippy-top from Target . . .

or this small, ceramic cake pedestal from TJ Maxx.

Polka dots and florals play nicely together, especially when touches of red are their mutual friend. What patterns are you drawn to these days?

{Still way behind on my blog visits; hope to pop over soon!}

  2. Ohhhh Elyse!! I love your latest purchases! They are so cute, I love both those cake stands!! Now I want to go to Home Goods and Target right now, lol! Lately, I am just plain drawn to anything aqua and white!! It has totally taken over pink. If I see aqua, I automatically have to look at it. I even bought dish soap because it was aqua, lol!!

  16. Yes, the spots and florals can be found all over now. They are so pretty and do go so nicely together. I am still all over the place when it comes to decorating. Definitely eclectic because of what I am surrounded by on this side of the world. Love the crackers in your previous post. I am doing the same thing with papertowel rolls for friends. Best wishes, Tammy

  22. I love spots as well! Combining them with florals, checks and paisley in pink, green and blue gives great results, doesn't it? That's why I also love Greengate and CK. Seeing your green walls again, I remember wanting to give my walls a paint. Perhaps a nice job for next weekend? ;-)

  43. Elyse,
    I just found some fab Cath-like dinnerware at Marshalls! Check out my blog! I bought six place settings but think I need two more. Six just doesn't make sense...of course none would have made more sense to my hubby....sigh. Anyway, it might be the same brand as your Homegoods tiered serving plate.
