the booty bootie

A few months ago, Cassandra VanCuren of My Artful Adventures and I did a mini-swap together.

We sent each other packages of pretty hand-made and gathered items. Cassandra remarked at how much she liked some pale peach trim I had sent and since I had bunches left, I mailed her a few more yards.

Well the other day she surprised me right back ... and then some! {And her package couldn't have arrived on a better day -- it was one of those kinds of days.}

Here is that peachy trim, gently tucked into this beautiful shoe, along with other treasures.

Cassandra's work and color palette is really extraordinary (just like her regally fancy name). I have never seen anything like this baby shoe. I am smitten.

Also included was one of Cassandra's beautiful faux cupcakes! And in the packet shown further above, were all kinds of paper samples that I am really having fun with (especially the French dictionary pages that I have been using to make swap items for Heather's latest Paris-themed swap). Cassandra's packaging is as pretty as her creations, too.

June is busting out all over into quite the busy month in Blogland. Below is a list of some fun happenings and I'm sure many more are just a click away ...

Ahhh, the baby bootie booty and booty bottie are adorable. My MIL just mailed me Hubby's bronzed baby shoes - I'm thinking of painting them white and hanging them on the wall - not sure what I'll put inside yet. :)
Have a wonderful weekend, Elyse!

Isn't all of this swapping and trading fun? It certainly is true that what you give to others in blog land seems to come back at least ten-fold.

I am so pleased that you are going to be on "Where Women Create." That is really and honor...and well-deserved!

Hugs, Suz
