The post title is an attempt at humor (read as: fo'get-about-it) but it's sort of true. After a hectic morning of boys not getting along, a pretty photo shoot is helping me to relax, move on and forget about it.

The "faux" refers to these beautiful but pretend pastries, two of which I received from the amazingly talented, Cassandra.

Cassandra's creations, also found at her Etsy shop, are so beautiful I swear the sight of them makes me light-headed.

In the midst of being involved in a couple of Valentine swaps, Cassandra and I decided to do a quick mini swap together.

She knows I adore her heart-shaped confections
Fingers crossed that Cassandra will like what I sent to her

Light-headed!

These faux cupcakes were a Mother's Day present purchased from My Pink Boutique

My sons' friends always ask if the cupcakes are real.

Even erasers can be pretty when they are in the form of pastry, like this little mini puzzle eraser from Japan.
Thank you blog and bloggers for providing this happy place in which to swoon.
Thank you Cassandra for the lovely treats!

I am known for loving the corner of a piece of cake because of all the frosting! I am ALWAYS handed a corner piece! heehee!
Hi, Elyse,
Those faux pastries are delightful! I especially love the heart shaped one! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend and great weak ahead, sweet friend! Thank you so much for dropping by for a visit, too. Vicki
Oh my! They look so real and delectable. I swear that heart-shaped box is an actual cake. Gorgeous! I bet they fool many. Fun stuff! Have a fantastic day. Blessings, Tammy
Sheeeesh! That box is divine!
m ^..^
How darling are those...and how nice of you to share her with us...
Didn't one of your sons friends tried the cupcakes, without asking? Oh these kids in the USA all behave so well! Did you know that we over here in Western Europe hardly have any pink pastry let alone blue. I don't know whether it is regulation about coloring the food or tradition, as we are used to natural ingredients over here. The macaroons at Ladurees that especially seem to appeal to Americans are an exception to this rule, though I have to say that they are delicious! Beautiful work! Have a nice Sunday, thanks for your visit to my little corner!
So beautiful and real looking! By the way, we love the dessert erasers and we happen to have that one too!
Oh, just fabulous! Be still my heart, but I LOVE that heart! I'm working on a swap (you know I consider myself very new at this) and am insecure about the whole thing! Hope my partner likes what I put together. I have to get it all out in the mail this week...
